5 Fashion Tape Hacks That Will Change How You Get Dressed

Most people buy fashion tape for one specific purpose: keeping a plunging neckline from going rogue. But once you understand what double-sided, sweat-proof tape can actually do, you'll be sticking it to everything. Here are five ways to use it that go well beyond the basics.

1. Stop Bra Straps From Showing

Run a strip along the top of your shoulder and press your bra strap down against it. Works with off-shoulder tops, wide-neck dresses, and anything where visible straps ruin the silhouette. Holds all day, peels off without residue.

2. Keep Shirt Buttons From Gaping

Place a small piece between each button on a fitted shirt. No more gap-flashing when you sit down, reach up, or basically exist. This one is game-changing for workwear too.

3. Hem a Dress in Under Two Minutes

Bought something too long but haven't had time for a seamstress? Fold the hem to your desired length, press tape along the inside, and fold it flat. It's not permanent, but it holds through a full day and night and doesn't damage the fabric.

Always test a small hidden area of the fabric first. Some delicate materials like silk organza need a lighter touch.

4. Tuck a Blouse That Won't Stay Tucked

Run a strip of tape along the waistband of your trousers or skirt and press your blouse into it after tucking. No more half-untucked situations by 11am.

5. Keep a Wrap Dress Closed

Wrap dresses are stunning until a slight breeze turns them into a wardrobe malfunction. A single strip of tape across the overlap at the thigh level keeps everything closed and lets you walk, sit, and dance without thinking about it.

The key is using the right tape. Cheap versions leave residue or fail when you're warm. The fashion tape in our Survival Bundle is specifically formulated for skin and fabric contact and holds through sweat, humidity, and dancing.
